the 1st period we showed our experience and also went off of adrenaline and hype, we got out to a fast start and potted 3 goals and then decided to play defensive hockey and tried to be cute with the puck

but the 3rd period we were in control of for the most part, we gave up maybe 2 good chances but other than that florida didnt really have much in the 3rd, and our offense had no pressure

it may also have to do with having such a long lay over


edit: i believe volchenkov may still be nursing his flu

Volchenkov was just nursing the cinderblocks on his feet...

Only caught the highlights of the game. It is great to get a goal from our 4th line, so critical down the stretch to get contributions from them. Was surprised by Volchenkov's ice time, but it looked like he was at fault for at least a goal.

Devil fans need to shut up. This is a bunch of classless fans that call for opposing goalies to get injured. I've been out to Newark, you guys are morons and fit in well with the surrounding area. Classless scum.

Had no idea Gionta was on the playoff roster. Great to see another Rochester, NY native in the playoffs. And congrats to Steve on his first goal. Really good person.

Hysterical. I realize most devils fans are idiots, but I root for the team, not the fans. I really haven't seen this incident occur, wouldn't surprise me, but it wouldn't surprise me for a drunk bumhole to say that in any arena.
